That's the thing, I wouldn't mind if it was 24 hour.

Just unbelievable how much it costs getting about in the UK compared to almost every other developed country, who even somehow manage to pay their staff just as well and provide an even better service.

We in the UK just seem to manage to fuck everything up somehow.

Majority of tube drivers are not in the RMT but don't let that stop you frothing at the mouth.

Look on the bright side. The extra money we pay out is probably going to that wonderful breed of men: the RMT tube drivers.

Agree, having been to many cities across Europe, USA etc I can confirm (having worked there for 19 years as well) London is a SHIT HOLE full of cunts.

London is a shithole anyway.
Dearest fares in Europe, possibly the world for capital cities yet after 12am you're fucked as it all stops.

I blame all the train drivers who check the value of their share portfolio as soon as they are on their meal break. :-)

Absolute joke.

The cost of getting about in London compared to just about everywhere else in the country/world is mental.

I blame lefties.

North bank.

You're about 10k over the mark.

Maybe you get your facts from an Evening Standard reporter.

Not true. It's capped in the same way.

But if you use a contactless cashcard it is not capped

Re: Travel Cards 8.90 up to 12.00
So if you have say £15 on a PAYG Oyster you can travel all day but it will stop taking money when it hits travelcard amount i.e say £2.20 a journey and you do 5 or 6 touch in touch outs on the 7th it won't charge?

Oyser is maxed out so that you won't pay more than a Travel card

Re: Travel Cards 8.90 up to 12.00
I rarely travek to London these days but when I do I have a PAYG Oyster. Saying that, at around £2.20 a pop if you have a few journeys to make plus maybe a bus you have to weigh up if a travelcard is better if using it all day. So how much is an all day PAYG oyster or do they not do that?

IRONTAZ786 1:59 Wed Dec 31
Re: Travel Cards 8.90 up to 12.00
Yup that's for the paper travelcard, but if you switch over to oyster then it's £9.20.
